Community Guidelines
Last updated November 4, 2026
Playdex is a place to track games and talk about them with other players. These guidelines apply to everything you post, including reviews, comments, lists, profiles, usernames, images and game submissions.
1. Be respectful
- Disagree about games, not about people. Criticize the game, not the person who likes it.
- No harassment, bullying, threats or targeting someone across reviews, comments or profiles.
- No hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
2. Mark your spoilers
- Use spoiler tags for story twists, endings and other surprises.
- Do not put spoilers in list titles, profile text or anywhere that cannot be hidden.
3. Keep it appropriate
- No sexual content, gore or shocking images in avatars, banners, profile images, list backgrounds or game media.
- Talking about mature games is fine. Posting explicit material is not.
- Nothing that involves or sexualizes minors, ever.
4. Be honest
- Do not pretend to be another person, a developer or a Playdex moderator.
- Do not post fake reviews, rating spam or reviews written to boost or bury a game you are paid by or connected to.
- Do not use multiple accounts to get around a suspension or to inflate ratings.
5. No spam or self promotion
- No advertising, referral links or repeated posts of the same thing.
- Sharing your own content is fine when it adds to the conversation.
6. Respect privacy and the law
- Do not share anyone's private information, such as their real name, address or contact details, without their permission.
- Do not post links to pirated games, cheats that harm other players, malware or scams.
- Only upload images you have the right to share.
7. Game submissions and edits
- Submit real games and accurate details.
- Use official or fair images for covers and media, and pick the right category.
- Do not vandalize game pages or submit joke entries.
8. Reporting
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the report button on the review or comment. Reports are private, and moderators review every one. Please do not report people just because you disagree with their opinion.
9. What happens when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, moderators may hide or remove content, reject submissions, ask you to change your name or profile, limit features or suspend your account. Serious or repeated problems can lead to a permanent ban. Moderators make the final call on what fits these guidelines.
